The founder and executive director of the Ventura Film Festival was chosen to participate, along with many of Hollywood's top stars, in the 50th Anniversary tribute of West Side Story and Hollywood's legendary footprint/handprint ceremony for Oscar honorees Rita Moreno, George Chakiris, as well as Golden Globe winner Russ Tamblyn at the iconic Chinese Theater in Hollywood. This event also doubled as the official BluRay release by Fox and MGM of West Side Story, which is here widely considered by critics and fans to be the most exceptional musical of all time.
